Inaction Leads to Unsuccessful Dates and Relationships with Women

You have seen her every day now for the last two weeks. I know this because I have been the guy sitting at the other table watching this all unfold as I sip my coffee and take my morning notes. But here you are ordering coffee that you dont drink (at $6.00 a pop I might add) and pretending to read yesterdays newspaper just so that you can sit there and watch her.

The first two days it was a rather industrious attempt to work up the nerve to go talk to her. Now youve just become her stalker and everyone in here knows it but you. We have all watched you get here about five minutes before she walks in the door, sit down with your heavy mocha choco lotta somethin latte frappo with ice milk warmed no whip and a newspaper that you havent even bothered to unfold in two days and stare at the door. No, you dont think that youre staring, but when you glance at something more than 52 times in 60 seconds, you are staring.

When she comes in you get into pretending that the same news story from the last three days is just as terribly interesting as it is today. At the very least, of youre not going to talk to her today, show up with a fresh newspaper tomorrow.

As we watch you try to get a grip on yourself when she walks in the door, you almost spill your super charged gourmet coffee. For the fifteen minutes that she spends ordering her coffee, chatting it up with the wait staff, and then not one full minute after she leaves, you crinkle the newspaper under your arm and youre out the door. We are starting to worry for this womans safety. You are acting like a crazed fan that is hording a shrine to her in your basement.

All of this is for what? If you just want to look at her, take a picture. But if you are waiting for the perfect moment to approach her and talk to her, then you are going about it in completely the wrong manner. If you like all the inaction that is going on then thats on you. But since were all starting to get concerned, then maybe you should show us that you are made of more than just fluffy stuffing and that you can handle asking a woman for drinks or God forbid more coffee, then its time to step up and ask the question. Because if she has noticed your intrusive presence, it is now way past time for you to make your move.

What are you waiting for? All of this inaction on your part is not leading to anything better. If you want to waste time then please dont grab an audience for it. Keep it home. Stand up or stop stalking. The choice is yours. Just remember how odd it looks when you spend all of your time trying to figure out what you want.
