Keep Autoresponder Messages Neat and Clean

By: Terry Leslie

Your autoresponder messages are a reflection of you and your business. You always want them to look as professional as possible. Not only do you want the content to be kept neat and clean, but you want the formatting of the autoresponder message to appear normal. When your messages become broken apart, often not reaching the margins and breaking off too early, your autoresponder message looks highly unprofessional. How do you know what you message looks like?

Make sure you send the first series to yourself so that you are sure you got it right. If it doesn't look professional to you, there is no way that it will look professional to your client base.

Autoresponders come with directions. The autoresponder company posts the directions right on their website, explaining exactly what you need to do in order to create a fabulous and professional autoresponder message.

The basic rule in autoresponder creation is limiting your characters to 65 characters. Your client base will have a wide variety of email programs. Some will auto--adjust and others won't. Ask a few friends with different email addresses to look over the formatting as a back up plan. However, you still need to make sure that you are taking the time to learn the formatting that the autoresponder website requests. Often it is simply a matter of whether or not you need to hit the Enter key at the end of each line.

As you build your interest through a series of autoresponder messages, don't forget the day of release. The day before you should be making a very big deal about whatever it is that is about to be answered for them. For instance, if you are promoting a fabulous new cleaning product, maybe you've been promising them all along that their cleaning days are about to become much easier. The day before you bring it to market, send out an autoresponder message that announces that your client have only one more day of old fashioned cleaning. Tomorrow their labor becomes the labor of someone else.

Your messages can really work in your favor if you present them professionally and creatively. However, make sure that you are writing them the way you should be even if you are using three different autoresponders. The fourth may not react the exact same way.

In the mean time, Good Luck on your journey to success.
