Reasons Bottled Water Is Better Than Tap Water

By: Aydan Corkern

Bottled water has skyrocketed over the years because it is the biggest selling beverage out there. Everywhere you look, you see people drinking them and there are all different types of brands that you can get. People say it is safer than tap water, but is it really safer? It just depends on the type of bottled water and whether it is better and safer than tap water is. If you want to know, then you can get some information on it. Do some research for yourself to find out which ones are and which ones are not. You can get online to find this out. All you have to know is which ones you want to look up and then read about them; that is all you do. People want healthy water to drink not only for them but for their children and their pets as well to keep them strong and healthy.

There are some expensive brands of bottled water and then there is the cheap bottled water, or should I say the affordable bottled water out there. But you do not have to get the expensive kind to have good tasting water or for it to be healthier for you. The companies that make the bottled water try to say that their bottled water is better and healthier for you than tap water. Some are and some are not. Did you know that there are no government standards for bottled water to be better than tap water? For some there are no standards at all. I bet some of you did not even know that! In tap water, there are standards that cover E. coli bacteria and any thing else, but for bottled water there are no standards at all, which makes you really think about its cleanliness and safety.

Do not think that your bottle water is infected because I am not saying that. It is not infected. I'm just saying that there are not as many standards that tap water has. So you see bottled water is not all that better, more pure, or safer than tap water is; it just depends. Did you also know that we have over 60,000,000 empty bottles a year in our landfills? That is a lot of empty bottles, and that is not good for our environment. We need to cut down the empty bottles because they are not biodegradable.
