Also, found out that I have a 16 year old sister and a 11 year old brother. I decided while being unemployed I thought about reconnecting with my mother. So I used a tool from the Internet to look up her address. We talked for a few months and seen each other every week or two. My mom and step dad were going to rent a cabin at Lake Potoka and asked if we would like to come. The trip was 4 hours from our house and the men rode in a jeep with the top down boy we all got burnt, while the women and the youngest kid rode in a air conditioned car. When we arrived at the lake there was a Nice 4 bedroom cabin they had rented with the lake right behind us. We brought some backyard games. But the most fun was watching my 7 year old learn how to fish for the first time. The fish in the lake were so tame that they were biting bread that was on the hook. After we ran out of bread we told my oldest son (7 years old) that we would go and get him some worms but he said thats fine I will try without any bait and I would not believe it if I had not seen it with my own eyes. He had caught monster of a pound fish. One of the hardest parts of fishing was my other son, he is only 2 and loved throwing rocks in the lake. He would walk up to the driveway and walk back down and launch a rock over and over. That kept him busy for hours. After the kids went to bed My Mother and I along with my wife and step dad sat down had a few drinks and we discussed all the things that happened and how me and my Mother lost each other for so many years. We had a great talk and after all was said I have found out that there are two stories to every side and since the first story I heard was from my grandmother who passed away I cant verify the story my mom gave me so I decided to just to get to know her for who she is now and enjoy the time we have left together. On the last day of the trip we stood out in front of the cabin and took a picture of all of us. It was a great bonding experience for two families not just my own. We ended up leaving a journal telling the next visitors about our stay while sharing our wonderful memories. Isnt that what life is all about? Also, found out that I have a 16 year old baby and a 11 year old brother. I distinct while being unemployed I thinking about reconnecting with my mother.
